Check out the many enhancements in Version 2.20.0 of QuickPick

Version 2.20.0 is now available for installation. System enhancements included in the release:

  • A new “Date Code” field was added to the system. It provides functionality for tracking inventory by an alternative date (expiration date, use by date, manufacture date, etc.), rather than the system generated “Create Date”.
  • The user can designate by Product ID which products require the Date Code field to be populated. If the Date Code flag for the product is set to “true”, a Date Code value will be required for all inventory created for the product.
  • All inventory creation and labeling screens have been enhanced to prompt for and validate the Date Code entry for designated products. The effected screens are:
    • Purchase Order Receiving
    • Purchase Order Group Receiving
    • Stock Labeling
    • Return Quantity
    • Production Recording
    • Work Order Production Recording
    • Work Order RTS
  • The label print engine has been enhanced to include the Date Code in the label format.
  • The inquiry screens have been modified to display the new Date Code field, where applicable. The effected screens are:
    • Inventory Inquiry
    • Location Inquiry
    • Unit Inquiry
    • Container Inquiry
    • Pick Location History
    • Report Inquiry
  • Product Inquiry (shows the Date Code flag setting for the product(s)
  • Work Order Production Detail
  • The Unit Inquiry, Container Inquiry and Pick Location History screens have been further enhanced to allow the operator to edit the value for the Date Code field.
  • The picking routines in the Customer Order, Transfer Order and Work Order modules have been modified to use the Date Code date for FIFO calculations (for products flagged for date code) in lieu of the Create Date.
  • The RF Miscellaneous Issue function has been modified to use the Date Code for FIFO calculations.
  • The Pick Bin Replenishment function has been modified to use the Date Code for FIFO calculations.
  • On RF terminal functions, if the product displayed is flagged for Date Code, the date displayed by the terminal will be the Date Code, not the Create Date.
  • For the RF Stocking functions-Unit Combine and Pick Bin Combine-if the product is flagged the system will compare Date Codes (instead of Create Dates) to validate the transaction.
  • Added a column to the Location Summary screen grid to designate that the bin is Empty.
  • On screens that use a From and To date in the filter, gave the operator the ability to “turn off” the date range by unchecking the date field.
  • On the inventory labeling screens, modified the grid load function to not refresh the grid when the total quantity is modified and the Standard Putup is “0”.
  • The RF Unreplenish function was enhanced to accept a pre-printed (empty) unit or container label.
  • Added a variable for the UPC Code to the UnitPrint function.
  • On the Inventory Inquiry screen, added a Detail button beside the quantity accumulators (grid in upper right-hand corner of screen) to show the detail associated with the value.
  • The Data Maintenance screen has been enhanced to streamline data purging.
